So it records my screen?
It reads your screen sixty times a second and throws every frame away. Nothing is written to disk, nothing is uploaded, there is no account and no network code in the app. macOS asks for Screen Recording permission because folding your desktop means reading your desktop — there is no way around that, and you should be suspicious of anything that claims otherwise.

It needs macOS 14 or later and a MacBook with a lid angle sensor, which means 2019 and newer. Desktop Macs have no lid to read, so there is nothing for Drape to follow.
